Wild Couch
Wild Couch is bunch of poltroons from the ticklish underbelly of America with a weakness for double bass drum pedals and stone pot bibimbap. They got harmonies where you didn't know you needed em and don't have banter where you knew you did. They're something, for sure, and they'd love your help figuring out just what.
Reisender
Reisender began when singer-songwriter Paul Conroy bought a neglected mandolin for 40 euros from a Flea Market in Stuttgart, Germany. The first few songs were written under bridges and on street corners of 20 different cities in Europe. What began as scrappy busker tunes eventually evolved into an eclectic mix of 80s-reminiscent synths and drums, grooving mandolin riffs, and unadulterated indie pop hooks. Conroy formed a band developed a signature sound, earning them opening bills for national touring bands such as Hippo Campus and Eisley. In 2018, guitarist and trombonist Rurik Schtaklef joined Reisender, and the pair have started performing and writing as a dynamic two-piece. Conroy's greatest personal influences are Paul Simon, Damon Albarn, Pixies, and Paul McCartney.
Mad Noise
Fans have described MAD NOISE's sound as everything from "Acoustic Neo-Soul Street-Funk" to "Punk-Blues", crediting their diversity and DIY aesthetic. While deeply rooted in the blues, what makes MAD NOISE inimitable is their ability to draw from styles around the world, from folk and jazz to punk and pop. Their live performances are characterized by their raw energy, intricate vocal harmonies, collective improvisation, and ability to connect with their audiences. MAD NOISE began as a busking band in 2010, entertaining the streets of San Francisco. In only five years, this eclectic ensemble received numerous awards from SF Bay Area press (SF Weekly's and The Daily Californian's "Best of" 2011, and named "Best Band" by SF Bay Guardian 2011, 2012, and 2013). They’ve performed in prestigious venues and festivals along the West Coast, as well as throughout West Africa as part of the US Department of State-sponsored program American Music Abroad in 2015.
Sweet Fang
Sweet Fang first took form in the lunch-break daydreams of coworkers Caleb, Nate, and Pearce. Serious about creating an upbeat dance band to get people grooving, they started jamming together in late September, and soon found multi-instrumentalist and rock-solid drummer Zach Zarcone. The lineup was completed with the euphonious vocal stylings of Rosa and Brittany. The chemistry of this retrospectacular sextet shines through their songwriting. They’ve spent the last 3 months collaborating and crafting a set list of tasty original songs. Influences span soul, funk, pop, disco, gospel, blues, and rock. Ultimately each song must be as dance-inducing as possible. The band is stoked for their first show in March and hard at work tightening up the set in order to make “Neck of the Woods” the best place to get down on St. Patrick’s Day!
