Eyes on the Shore
San Francisco/Oakland quintet Eyes on the Shore is comprised of Cory Tauber, Kayhan Golkar, Antrom Kury, Kevin McCann & Erik Huang. The music is a blend of guitars, drums, washed out effects, harmonies, and electronic beats. Dipping into psychedelic rock, chill wave, and tropical grooves, the band's sonic signature has a floating, ethereal feel. Eyes on the Shore just released their 2016 EP “Maestranza”. The first single “Washed Away” was recently featured on the front page of Reddit.com and got the group some international recognition on YouTube and Spotify.
Picture Atlantic
Picture Atlantic, the ever-evolving alternative rock band from Santa Clara, CA recently released their third album ASSOUF. With this new music, Vocalist/guitarist Nik Bartunek, bass guitarist Ryan Blair, and drummer Daniel Martinez are "more musically cohesive than ever before,” now playing to each others’ strengths as much as their own. The band's catalog is defined by Bartunek's striking vocal style and range combined with the musical and rhythmic backbone of Blair and Martinez, the creative counterpoint to the haunting vocal melodies. While the band once saw that not being similar enough to other groups secluded them from larger audiences, they now embrace the idea. “Our ‘sound' is that we don’t just have one type of sound.”
Moral High Horses
Formed in San Francisco sometime in a foggy 2016, this alternative-psych group has been painstakingly plotting their break out in the Bay Area music scene. Formerly known as Foreign (for the record -- never a Foreigner cover band), the band gained some momentum after collaborating with local artists and friends on a string of video releases for the self-recorded tracks “Don't Hesitate” and “Apophenia.”

After a name change last fall, the young steeds holed up at home to experiment with a sound that showcases their strangeness and inclination to be accessible to all. Their debut EP, which is being released independently on Friday the 13th of October, demonstrates authentic songwriting with woozy-but-energetic guitar work. The band hits the pacific northwest this fall.
