Courtney Swain
Courtney Swain is a singer songwriter based in Providence, RI. Swain has toured in North America, Europe, and Japan as a solo act and as the frontwoman of Boston-based experimental rock band, Bent Knee. Her powerful and emotive singing has received rave reviews from the Boston Globe, Consequence of Sound, Keyboard Magazine, Wall Street Journal, WBUR, PopMatters, and others. Her songwriting blends pop, jazz, and rock sensibilities, and carries influences from artists like Fiona Apple, St. Vincent, Radiohead, Mitski, and Chelsea Wolfe. She is currently on tour promoting her new EP "Growing Pains" released on November 10.
Maya Hall
A native of Fukuoka, Japan, Maya Hall moved to San Francisco in 2014 in search of bigger musical pastures. She had been a part of the music scene as a respected vocalist, taking part in a variety of different acts in Fukuoka and Tokyo. Since moving to San Francisco, she has trained herself how to play the guitar in order to write her own songs, and has done so with the same musical agility she reveals when she sings. Like her voice, her guitar playing is equally her own silky and sweet style. When she plays, her chord progressions, dainty riffs and interesting rhythms match her soul exactly.
Liz Fohl
Liz Fohl is a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. A multi-instrumentalist, she has roots in pop and folkier songwriting that she pairs with jazzy vocals, experimental production techniques and r&b grooves. She has toured internationally and is promoting her most recent release, Shallow Water.
The Y Axes
The Y Axes are a San Francisco based indie outfit who play a unique blend of dreamy, synth-glossed pop and rhythmically muscular rock. Alexi's lyrics cut through the intricate riffs of guitarist Devin, while bassist Jack and drummer Paul lock up the rhythm with double-bass kicks and slaps. They combine intricate instrumentations and ethereal vocal melodies to create pop that is simultaneously energetic, anthemic, heartbreaking, and hard-hitting.
