Maya Hall
Vocalist Maya Hall, born in Fukuoka, Japan, moved to San Francisco in 2014 in search of bigger musical pastures. The self-taught guitarist/songwriter’s chord progressions, dainty riffs, and interesting rhythms are a perfect match for her silky, sweet vocal style.
Skout
Skout is Laura Valk and Connor Gladney, a Brooklyn-based duo that plays indie-folk with restless edge. Skout supports their rich harmonies with a mesmerizing combination of rhythmic and fingerstyle guitar, proving that you can, in fact, shred on acoustic. The title track from Skout's most recent release, "Just Words," peaked at #8 on Spotify's viral chart and "Old Friend" from the same EP was just featured on MTV's Catfish. Skout will be releasing two new singles and touring throughout the country in 2018.
Raye Zaragoza
Raye Zaragoza is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer whose multinational heritage (Native American (O'odham), Mexican, Taiwanese and Japanese) deeply informs her music. This perspective can be heard in her independently released song “In the River,” a response to the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline near the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in North Dakota. The quiet yet powerful track resonated strongly with listeners and went viral in late 2016, garnering half a million views on the video, national media coverage, and a Global Music Award and Honesty Oscar. Raye will be performing at NAMM 2018, and will be an official speaker at SXSW 2018.
