Colony House
It's not surprising that Colony House has struck a resonant chord with listeners. The threesome maintains a balance of craft and immediacy that reflects its affinity for the sound of such alt-rock outfits as Interpol and The Killers, while echoing the influence of such alternative icons as U2 and New Order. They've assimilated their multiple influences in a manner that's wholly distinctive, adding tight harmonies, strong instrumental chops and a keen melodic sensibility that's all their own.
Knox Hamilton
Fueled by the similar staples within their collective musical taste, the members of Knox Hamilton blend laid back guitar riffs and catchy bass lines with rhythmic drum beats and soaring vocals to produce a sound that’s as likely to make you want to visit the beach as it is to move your feet. The Great Hall EP is a culmination of the bands eclectic musical sensibilities, as individuals, and their combined infatuation with indie pop rock, as a band. The EP could easily be trimmed to simple, commercial-length soundbites, but it could also accompany you on a cross-country road trip.
Adventure Galley
Reminiscent of so many bands of yesteryouth, muddled with our generation’s lazing indie spirit, Adventure Galley strikes a certain note of dance party agelessness. A monolithic keyboard facade made of an old radio stands boldly centered at their live show, the one steadfast bolt amidst wildly flying notes, dancing fans and soaring singalong melodies that are just too fitting for a band named after an old ship.
