Daytime Nightlife
Armed with musical weapons of mass “construction”, San Francisco band “Daytime Nightlife” is fighting fear and negativity in all forms with their debut self-titled album. This 13 track, self-titled CD was recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely by band members Mark + Gary Malec, and Matt Tucci.
Direct Divide
Direct Divide proves that the violin belongs in rock music. The band is headed by 6-string electric violinist and powerhouse vocalist Razz and multi instrumentalist and engineer Kevin Proctor. With a backdrop of synths, guitars, drums, bass, and piano behind the powerful front duo, Direct Divide executes dynamic, orchestrated rock songs that draw listeners into an intense sonic landscape. The band draws inspiration from groups like 30 Seconds to Mars, Muse, Florence and the Machine, and Coheed and Cambria. Originally formed in Seattle, the Direct Divide spent 2014 performing multiple tours across the country - landing in Monterey, CA to write and record their next EP ‘Own Your Ocean’ which is due for release on July 24th.
The Shrews
In an era when rock bands are a dime a dozen, The Shrews stand apart by delivering a fresh take on retro rock and pop. Fueled by a powerful rhythm section layered with shimmering guitar leads and powerful vocals, The Shrews deliver a driving yet deceptively simple vibe. Drawing from numerous indie, new wave, and garage rock influences, the Shrews strive to produce a uniquely catchy sound reminiscent of The Cars, The Strokes and Weezer. The Shrews’ versatile live show unites audiences of all different tastes and preferences with songwriting catered to a diverse crowd. Shunning ego and over-playing in favor of maintaining a cohesive sound, seeing The Shrews live is without a dull moment and always devoid of wankery. After releasing two EPs and with a full-length album in the making and playing countless live shows in and around the South Bay, The Shrews show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
